Cryptocurrency exchange Bit2Me calls for 100,000 blocked users of exchange 2gether
On July 10, cryptocurrency exchange 2gether, based in Spain, limited users’ access to their accounts and requested 20 euros from each of them to cover the costs associated with the fall of cryptocurrency markets. Cryptocurrency exchange Bit2me offers all 2gether customers to switch to it and get 20 euros for it.
Cryptocurrency exchanges 2gether and Bit2me have entered into an agreement under which the latter can bring in 100,000 users of 2gether, which has failed in the crypto-winter environment.
On July 10, 2gether restricted the ability to withdraw funds for all of its customers because it was unable to cover operating costs amid declining cryptocurrency markets. The Spanish exchange required its users to pay a service fee of 20 euros to unblock funds.
Bit2me was able to negotiate with 2gether to unlock the assets of users who moved to Bit2me without charging a fee. Bit2me also decided to transfer 20 euros each to new users who came from 2gether.
On July 13, the official Bit2me Twitter account posted that Bit2Me was entering into an agreement with 2gether to help users continue trading at no additional cost.
Reiterating his commitment to the Spanish cryptocurrency market, Bit2Me CEO and co-founder Leif Ferreira said:
“The world of digital currencies and blockchain technology remains our main focus for the present and future. That’s why we want to help all 2gether users who want to continue to be involved in this world of cryptocurrency.”
Binance in Spain
The Bank of Spain recently registered Monn Tech Spain, a subsidiary of Binance, as a virtual asset provider (VASP). This allows Binance to provide digital currency trading services in the country.
Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao (CZ) stressed the importance of effective regulation for the widespread adoption of cryptocurrencies, adding:
We have invested heavily in compliance and implemented tools and policies that are compatible with AMLD 5 and 6 to ensure that our platform remains the safest and most reliable in the industry.
